It takes about ten minutes to throw everything in the pan (except the cornstarch) in the morning. If you already cut the beef and onions, it only takes three minutes. It then cooks on its own for seven hours, and at dinner time, all you have to do is stir in a little water to your cornstarch to thicken the sauce.
Ingredients for Crockpot Beef Tips & Gravy
- 1 1/2 lbs of cubed beef (stew meat)
- 1 packet of Dry Onion Soup Mix
- 1 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup (although Cream of anything will work)
- 1 14 oz. of can beef broth or stock
- 1 can of Mushrooms, drained
- Peppe and salt
Instructions for Crockpot Beef Tips with Gravy
Add beef cubes to Crockpot, and season with salt & pepper.
In a bowl combine soup mix, soup, broth, and mushrooms. Stir to combine.
Dump mixed ingredients over top of the beef, and stir.
Then cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Serve over egg noodles or rice.
