HOW TO MAKE SAUSAGE GREEN BEAN POTATO CASSEROLE

To make this recipe you'll need the following ingredients for this side dish:

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of Slap Ya Mama® seasoning
  • 1/8 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1 1/2 lbs of sausage kielbasa or smoked sausage, sliced 1/4" thick
  • 2 lbs of baby creamer potatoes, washed, sliced in half
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp of pepper
  • 2 15 oz cans of green beans, drained

Instructions

Start by preheating the oven to 400° and spraying a 9x13 baking dish with a nonstick spray.

Then wash creamer potatoes, then cut them in half then add to a sealable gallon-size baggie.

And add oil, pepper, seasonings, and then red pepper flakes to a baggie. And shake to coat.

Then in a large frying pan, add water and sausage, then cook over medium-high heat until the sausages have browned and most of the water has evaporated.

Next, remove the sausage from the pan and when cool enough add it to the baggie.

And melt butter in the frying pan and add garlic and onions, and cook until onions are translucent.

Then let cool for a few minutes and then when cool enough, add to baggie then shake to mix.

And lastly, add green beans to the baggie, then shake to mix and then empty the contents into the prepared baking dish.

And cover with foil then place in the oven. And bake for 42 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Then carefully remove from oven, and enjoy!

Yes, you can make this delicious sausage green bean potato casserole recipe in a slow cooker. Start by cooking the sausage, along with the garlic and onions.

And while the sausage is cooking, add potatoes, that have been tossed in vegetable or olive oil, along with the seasonings, to the pot. 

After that, add green beans and next add the sausage mixture. 

Then give it a quick stir. And turn the crock pot to high, then cover and cook for 4 hours. And as you know now it's super easy and will free up time while preparing the rest of the holiday meal.
