Ingredients:
- 15 Brussels sprouts, halves lengthwise
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, smashed with a knife
- Fresh grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Salt & Pepper
Directions:
- Melt the butter and olive oil in a medium skillet (over medium-high heat) until the butter is foamy.
- Reduce heat to medium, add crushed garlic and cook until light brown.
- Remove and discard garlic.
- Add the cut sprouts to the bottom, cover, and cook without stirring over medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes or until tender when punched with a knife.
- The cut side of the shoots should turn tender and brown, with a buttery flavor rich in garlic.
- Covering with freshly grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper, to taste.
